Booking Terms and Conditions

Welcome to our booking terms and conditions for The Sea Croft Bed & Breakfast. Please read these carefully before making your reservation.

 

Direct bookings (by phone or website) become non-refundable 14 days before arrival. This policy has no exceptions. Therefore, we strongly recommend you take out travel insurance. This will cover unexpected events that may cause you to cancel. Note that bookings made through online travel agencies (OTAs) have a 30-day non-refundable period. Please check our accommodation options for your stay at The Sea Croft.

Check In & Check Out

Arrival time: Book direct guests arrive from 2pm. Online travel agency guests arrive from 3pm. Both groups have until 7pm.

Departure time: 10.30 am.

Flexible times available:
For early arrival (12pm) or late departure (12.30pm), we charge £20 per room. Additionally, this includes car park access. Please give us 24 hours notice.

Need parking? Purchase early parking from £10 by contacting us directly.

Pets & Children

Sorry, we cannot accommodate pets at this time. However, we welcome well-behaved children. Family rooms accommodate children up to age 12. This age limit ensures your comfort given our room sizes.

Smoking

Important: We operate a non-smoking property. We DO NOT permit smoking in rooms, outside the property, or in the car park.

If we find evidence of smoking (including old or new smells), we will charge a £250 cleaning fee. We may charge your card after departure.

Our CCTV operates 24 hours. If you smoke, please choose accommodation better suited to your needs.

Takeaways & Damage

We do not allow takeaways in rooms.

Why? Past takeaways have caused hundreds of pounds in damage to furniture and bed linen. Consequently, as a small, post-pandemic business, we must protect our property to keep it comfortable for all guests.

Dining options: We offer winter weekend evening meals. Additionally, many cafes, bars, and restaurants sit within walking distance offering great food. Moreover, other local properties have takeaway facilities if you prefer that option.

Penalties: If we find takeaway evidence (including smell), we will charge a £250 cleaning fee. We may charge your card after departure.

Damage policy: Report any damage to staff immediately. Unreported damage will incur full replacement charges. However, we assess reported damage case by case. We may charge your card after departure.

Lost Keys & Property Use

Please remember to return your key

Lost key fee: If you cannot return your key, we will charge £250. Why so much? Due to the building’s nature and our insurance requirements, we must replace not just your room key but also both security locks on the outer doors and all external key copies for other rooms.

Damage charges: We will charge the full replacement value for any damage. We may charge your card after departure.

Neighbour consideration: Please consider other guests and neighbours when entering or exiting the property. This especially applies between 10pm and 8am.
